Musicians Needed!
A local rock band called “Dark Horse” in the Murfreesboro, TN area is in need of the following:
1) Lead Guitarist (Intermediate and above)
2) Bass Guitarist (Intermediate and above)
These openings need to be filled as soon as possible, and, a tryout will occur to choose the best person to fill these positions. We are currently unable to practice at the moment, practice will resume again on May 10, 2008. Please only those who are serious and have the time needed for practice need apply.
The audition will consist of performing one cover song, one original song and an open jam session (Please bring your own equipment). If anyone comes to their audition and our rhythm guitarist feels that the person is attempting to control or take over the situation they will be dismissed from finishing their audition!!
At the time of the audition you will only audition with our rhythm guitarist before you have a chance to meet the rest of the band.
We will start performing gigs as early as next January unless a situation arises that is beyond the Band’s control. If at anytime you are unable to attend practice then you must notify one of the other members as soon as you are aware of it. If you fail to do this, or you are constantly being absent from practice then you will be removed and replaced!!
We are planning to start recording our first album within the next six months, so your presence in each and every practice session is of the utmost importance. If you have any question(s), feel free to ask them in the e-mail or on the day of your audition.
The information needed to setup an audition is as follows:
Name, Age (No one over 32 years of age), Instrument, Years of Experience (At least 2 years), Ability level to co-write songs (Music, Lyrics or both), and, a small paragraph titled “How I can help the band succeed” (No more then 6 sentences long).
If interested please send an e-mail reply to wdigger635@yahoo.com. After the e-mail is received an e-mail will be sent with information regarding the date and time of the audition! Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply before resending the e-mail again. Also please keep an eye on your e-mail for the reply because we will only send it once.
If you do not show you will not get a second chance!!
